Orchard Road is an extremely popular destination amongst visitors to Singapore. It is a boulevard which stretches for 1.5 miles in the heart of the city. It’s shopaholic heaven with just under 800, 000 meters squared of shops and restaurants. There is something for every budget as stores range from international value brands to high-end designers and upmarket fashion outlets. You can easily spend a day taking in the busy and exciting atmosphere and if you plan to tackle the whole street, the easiest way is to visit all of the malls on one side of the street and then come back along the opposite side.

Make sure you take a map with you though as it is extremely easy to get lost in Orchard Road’s network of streets above and below ground. It is also a great spot to visit at night, when the street is lit up beautifully and all of the bars and restaurants come to life.

Singapore is not the cheapest place in the world to shop, but you won’t be ripped o!  on Orchard Road. But regardless of age, gender or taste in shopping, you will find something to tempt you in this shopper’s paradise.
