The Marina Bay Area has a dramatic and iconic skyline, and if you have ever seen a picture of Singapore skyscrapers against the night’s sky, then chances are that you were looking at a photo of the Bay Area. It is a hub of entertainment, with the Singapore Flyer, Segway tours and the river taxis both offering unique ways to take in the Singapore skyline. Attractions such as the ArtScience Museum, which explores creativity in all of its many guises, the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay which puts on world-class performances in music, dance and theatre, and the National Gallery of Singapore which showcases the best art from Singapore and surrounding countries.

It was home to the first ever F1 Grand Prix to be held during the night, with the only light source being completely artificial. It was also the location of the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 2010 Youth Olympics, for which the world’s largest floating stadium was erected on the surface of the bay’s water.

At night, Marina Bay is the place to be, with glamourous waterfront dining in restaurants serving local and international cuisines to an exceptionally high standard. The view from the bay at night is second to none, with the skyscrapers lit up and rising high.
